Mumbai GRP arrests 2 including a minor for performing stunts on train

The Wadala Government Railway Police in Mumbai arrested two people including one minor for performing life-threatening stunts on a local train for TikTok videos

The Wadala Government Railway Police (GRP) in Mumbai arrested two people, including one minor for performing life-threatening stunts on a local train in a bid to make TikTok videos. The two arrested were later produced before a court and sent to two days police custody.

Two minor boys caught few months back

In a similar incident that happened a few months back, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) had taken two minor boys in custody after a video of them performing daredevil stunts went viral. Around five-six boys boarded the train from Mankhurd railway station in an incident that took place on June 6 and started performing stunts as soon as the train left the station for Kurla. A person sitting in the back coach made the video of these boys and sent it to Kurla RPF. The RPF team started looking for the boys as soon as the train reached Kurla railway station. While three-four boys managed to run away, the police managed to catch two of them. The police released the boys later after counselling them and then handed them over to their respective parents.

Bengaluru's fatal incidents due to TikTok

Another spine chilling incident took place in Bengaluru when the filming of a TikTok video turned fatal after two youths were run over by a train. The incident took place on the railway track which runs between Yelahanka and Channasandra. While 19-year-old Abzad and 22-year-old Mohammed Matti lost their lives, their friend Zalibulla Khan sustained serious injuries in the incident who was recording Matti and Abzad's video. Zalibulla was admitted to the hospital upon sustaining injuries. According to the reports, the train approaching towards them hit Zalibulla who was thrown away from the track while the other two were run over before they could run away from the track.

 In a similar incident from Bengaluru, a youth accidentally fractured his spinal cord while filming a TikTok video. The youth was identified as Kumaraswamy. He died after undergoing treatment at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru. In an attempt to impress his followers with his video, the youth decided to attempt a stunt without any supervision.
