Serial Rapist Doesn't Remember The Number Of Young Girls He Has Raped

34-year-old Rehan Qureshi is a pedophile who had spread terror across four cities of Maharashtra. Recently, Navi Mumbai police have arrested him from Mira Road area. There are 15 cases of rape & molestation registered against him in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane & Palghar region. During the interrogation, accused Rehan Qureshi has revealed many shocking details. 

Why did he target only 8-13-year-old girls?  

DCP of Navi Mumbai crime branch Tushar Dosi has said, 'accused Rehan has been active since last four years. First time in 2015, he had molested a minor girl. From there, his spree of raping & molesting minor girls had started. Rehan was a salesman which allowed him to visit many places in order to meet the vendors. During such visits, he used to look for his potential targets. Before committing any offence he used to do observe for hours. He targeted only 8-13 year old girls because they were soft targets for him'.

According to police sources, it was very easy for him to win the trust of the girls of this age group as such girls used to get very scared when he terrorized them.

Accused Rehan has told the investigators that 'in last four years he has raped & molested many girls in parts of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane & Palghar district. He targeted girls whenever he got an opportunity. He has not kept a record of his offence'. Accused Qureshi also accepts that he doesn’t even remember the faces of victims. 

"Victims' parents should come forward" - Police

15 cases have been registered against accused Rehan Qureshi so far. But there are several other incidents in which the parents of victims have not registered a case. With the acceptance of the accused to have raped more number of girls than he can remember, Navi Mumbai police has requested the parents whose daughters have been sexually assaulted by accused Rehan Qureshi, to come forward & register a complaint against him so that strict actions can be taken against the criminal.

Accused knew that police was after him

After a series of rape cases, police had put up the poster of accused in many parts of the city. Rehan Qureshi was fully aware that police has launched a manhunt to nab him. To avoid from getting arrested, Rehan stopped using taxi, auto or bus for traveling, he only used local train as a transport mode. He took all precautions but at the end he failed as the police were successful in nabbing him.
