Who hasn't wanted to own a Ferrari? They're fast, gorgeous, stylish, powerful and expensive! Owning one is an ultimate expression of luxury.

A lot of people may remember adorning their walls with F50s, Testerossas, 250 GTOs, Michael Schumacher and possibly even Enzos (though let's agree, it wasn't Ferrari's best supercar effort.)

Growing up in Delhi (and attending the same school as SRK!), one can imagine that Kunal Nayyar may have also had such fantasies. But what happens when something that desirable suddenly begins to look attainable? Must be surreal, right?

Nayyar, because of his outstanding work on CBS' The Big Bang Theory, where he plays Astrophysicist Rajesh 'Raj' Koothrappali, has worked himself into such a position. The show will soon be entering its 11th season and given the success it's had, it's likely that its stars are among the best paid in the industry. So now that Nayyar can afford one, he should buy it right?

Well ... It's not so simple.

In his latest Instagram post, Nayyar, 36, has spoken about how a Ferrari was always his idea of success. But having got there, he hesitated on buying one because he didn't want people to think he was a show-off. Clearly, Kunal Nayyar is just as sensitive as his on-screen alter-ego.

However, just like Raj frequently does on the show, Nayyar too surrendered to temptation. And so, we have Kunal Nayyar's brand new Ferrari 458!

And here's his full caption -

Ever since I was a kid, my idea of success was a Ferrari. And when I was lucky enough to make a living doing the very thing that I love, I realized that I was afraid of having nice things because people would judge me. I waited a long time to get this car, and the only reason I didn't, was I thought people would think I was a show off, or pretentious or whatever other word one can use to put you in a box. But now I know what a waste of time it is- to live life on other people's terms. So... Hello gorgeous, welcome to the family:) #love

The Ferrari 458 features a 4.5 litre V8 producing a mighty 562 horsepower. This means it can hit 60 mph from a dead start in less than 3 seconds, with a top speed of 210 mph (electronically limited).
