RRB 2019: The exam notification for the vacancies at RRB 2019 recruitment was released by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). RBB recruit’s candidates for the posts of Commercial Apprentice, Goods guard, Traffic Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, Para Medical Staff, Material & Isolated Category and Level-1 Posts in Indian Railways. A Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam is been conducted by RBB to recruit people from all over India. RRB NTPC is one of the five exams conducted by RBB. Approximately, 1.3 lakhs of vacancies are being announced this year. Following is the notification time-table and general knowledge syllabus of NTPC.

The RRB NTPC Exam syllabus for all the eight posts (Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master) includes the following subjects. The same should be followed for NTPC 2nd Stage candidates, except those who have applied for CA, TA, ECRC and Goods Guard posts.

General Awareness

The detailed syllabus of the above-mentioned subject is as follows:

General Knowledge: This Section is very important for RRB NTPC Exam. The questions from this section are based on the following topics.

Current Affairs

1.       National and International History

2.       India and World General Science

3.       Indian Economy, Indian Geography

4.       Indian Constitution

5.       Indian Culture and Heritage

6.       Indian Polity, Science and Technology Etc.

The exam for both the stages i.e. RRB NTPC Prelims and Mains is objective type and will be conducted only in online mode. The details of Exam pattern are available below.

RRB NTPC Prelims Exam Pattern

The RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for all the eight posts i.e. TC, TA, CA, ECRC, JAA, Senior Time Keeper, Station Master, Senior Clerk and Goods Guard is as follows:

Terms and Conditions:

  • The time given for the Stage-1 examination is of 90 minutes or one and a half hours.
  • RRB NTPC Stage-1 will be a Computer Based Test, which means it will be conducted online.
  • The number of questions will be 100.
  • For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded and for the incorrect answer, one-third marks will be deducted.

RRB NTPC Mains Exam pattern

RRB NTPC Mains Exam is conducted for those candidates who qualify the Stage-1 exam and only for the 5 posts namely ASM, TC, Senior Time Keeper, Senior Clerk and JAA. Detailed exam pattern for the Stage-2 exam is provided in the table for your help and preparation:

Terms and conditions:

  • A total of 120 questions will be asked in the CBT for NTPC Stage-2 Exam.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
  • Negative marking of 0.333 marks is set for each wrong answer.
  • 90 minutes or one and a half hours is provided to candidates to complete their NTPC Stage-2 paper.
