Priyanka Gandhi had opened her Twitter account on February 11, days after she was appointed as the party's General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East). And almost a moth after she joined Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has posted her initial two tweets on Tuesday.

In her first tweet, She spoke about Sabarmati and immediately followed it with another message referring to a quote by Mahatma Gandhi. She shared the quote with an image of the Gandhi Asharma and wrote:

"I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent-Mahatma Gandhi”

The tweets comes on a day when the younger of the Gandhi siblings addressed her first-ever rally in Gandhinagar, Gujarat after joining politics.

In the presence of her brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, she expressed her satisfaction on coming to Gujarat for the first time and visiting the Sabarmati Ashram, from where Mahatma Gandhi began his Dandi march.

Priyanka then shifted her attention to the upcoming elections which is less than a month away by stating that country is presently going a tough time under the BJP regime and what people should do to secure their future.

"Your vote is a weapon, but it is a weapon through which no one should be hurt or wounded. It is a weapon which we make the people strong. People have to deeply think about what they are going to choose. They are going to choose their future. Unwanted issues should not be raised, but only the issues like jobs for youths, women empowerment, farmer issues should be raised," she said.
