Almost a month after Congress party announced the political debut of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the Congress General Secretary, her husband and businessman Robert Vadra has hinted his foray into politics via a loaded Facebook post on Sunday.

With weeks to go for the much-awaited Lok Sabha polls, it seems the Congress party is set to field a new candidate, someone who for them till very recently was only a private citizen -- Robert Vadra. Many posters across Uttar Pradesh could be spotted demanding Vadra to contest the election.

On Sunday, Robert Vadra took to Facebook and expressed gratitude for 'the love of people from different cities of the great nation' reaching him. He shared the images of his posters and wrote:

"I am overwhelmed at the love of people from different cities of our great nation, who are reaching out to me n would want me to fight elections from their areas and to represent them for a better change".

Using Facebook as a platform, the industrialist also highlighted the "hard work and effort he had devoted in remote areas in Uttar Pradesh".

"I do remember the hard works n efforts, I had devoted in remote areas in UP n in different parts of the country in the years campaigning for my Mother in law, and for Rahul. I was fortunate to see the simplicity of life lived in those villages and their respect and love I earned in the weeks I spent traveling for kilometers apart n tried to get their messages of help to resolve their issues".

He then repeated the sentence that he's been using for weeks: Would like to serve people on a bigger platform, but only once all false accusations & allegations levied on me are cleared

"Seeing the developments in the years n their happiness was rewarding. I surely have been serving n helping people in need for years, and would like to serve people on a bigger platform, but only once all false accusations & allegations levied on me are cleared. My belief is truth will prevail n hence I will be part n help for the better change, and development required for our country. 🙏".
