'Your voice has immense reach': PM Narendra Modi asks Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra and Ekta Kapoor to contribute in creating voter awareness with 'Vote Kar' campaign

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to several celebrities across domains urging them to help bring more people out to vote.  In a recent post, he tagged Bollywood actors Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra and producer Ekta Kapoor requesting them to contribute to the cause.

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to several celebrities across domains urging them to help bring more people out to vote. In a series of Tweets, he addressed several A-listers from the sports and entertainment industry to come forward and create voter awareness. In a recent post, he tagged Bollywood actors Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra and producer Ekta Kapoor requesting them to contribute to the cause.

In the post, he wrote, "A request to @ektaravikapoor, @ParineetiChopra and @SidMalhotra- As prominent Indians whose achievements are much admired, your voice has immense reach. I appeal to you to raise voter awareness and strengthen democracy. #VoteKar"

PM Narendra Modi also reached out to several young actors from the Bollywood film fraternity including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt urging them to take up the initiative. Last weeks he tagged several stars from the film fraternity in his posts which he shared with the hashtag--'Vote For India'. Now, the country chief resumed the campaign in the micro-blogging site with the hashtag--'Vote Kar'. 

This comes barely four weeks ahead of the first phase of the Lok Sabha election, scheduled on April 11. Earlier on the day, PM Modi posted a blog in which he made “four requests for democracy” and said the election is an “occasion for celebration” while asserting that “not voting causes great anguish”.
