Taking note of an eco-hazard pointed by a Twitter user, Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, on Tuesday, tweeted that plastic bottles will henceforth be banned at Mahindra boardrooms.

Earlier on Tuesday, Mahindra had expressed his pride in the KCMET scholarship awardees tweeting a picture of the selection meeting held in a boardroom and the final awardees who he claimed had made him 'shove aside all concerns about the future by the optimism these young people inspire'.

Immediately, Mitali (filmibaaz), observed the number of plastic bottles present in the boardroom and tweeted that steel bottles would a better eco-friendly option.

Not one to shy away from constructive criticism, Mahindra immediately admitted the company's mistake adding that ' they were all embarrassed to see them that day'.
