Anand Mahindra shares a funny cat video, reveals what he felt like when Hima Das won

After the golden girl, Hima Das, made the nation proud by becoming the first Indian athlete to win a gold at the world level, her kitty of congratulatory wishes has been overflowing. And, now none-other-than the chairman of Mahindra group, Anand Mahindra has joined the bandwagon. However, his style of expressing his happiness on Hima Das creating history is different than everyone else.

Moving away from the ‘conventional’ way of posting congratulatory messages on Twitter, Anand Mahindra posted a funny cat video, wherein the protagonist can be seen wearing a pair of shades like a boss.

This was, however, not the only message, Mahindra shared for Hima Das. In yet another post, he highlighted that Hima Das’ spectacular victory also points out to a growing economy & popular aspirations for sporting heroes.

And, his recent tweet on Hima Das is the video which captured the moment immediately  after her spectacular win, wherein she can be seen getting emotional while singing the national anthem.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted out a video of Das’ winning moment, saying, a few particular moments from the video touched him deeply.

In the video, Hima, after racing past everyone and winning the first gold for India on the tracks, can be seen walking towards the audience stand to get the national flag. In the next frame, Hima is seen getting emotional while singing the national anthem.

Prior to this, PM Modi had highlighted Das' win and said that it will 'certainly inspire young athletes in the coming years.'

Sprinter Hima Das clinched the top spot in the women's 400m final race in the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships in Finland on Thursday.

The 18-year-old Das, a pre-tournament favourite, clocked 51.46s to win the gold, which triggered a wild celebration at the Indian camp. This was though not her personal best as she had clocked 51.13 last month in Guwahati at the National Inter-State Championships.
