BIZARRE | Man in UP dies after eating 41 eggs as a part of a challenge

A man from the Jaunpu region of Uttar Pradesh passed away after eating 41 eggs. He was competing with his brother for which one of them could eat 50 eggs faster

In what can be called as a bizarre and unfortunate incident, a man in Jaunpur district reportedly died because of an egg challenge, the local police said on November 4. The man killed in the incident was identified as Subhash Yadav and was aged 42. According to the police, Yadav had accompanied his friend to the Bibiganj market area to eat eggs. Upon reaching the market, an argument broke out between the two and the brothers decided to bet Rs 2,000 for whoever finishes eating 50 eggs first.

Man loses consciousness after eating 41 eggs

The deceased Subhash accepted the bet and started eating the eggs one after the other. The deceased ate 41 eggs in total and just when he was about to eat his 42nd egg, he collapsed and fell unconscious. Post the incident, Subhash was rushed to the hospital by the local police from where he was referred to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, where he died hours after being admitted.

According to the police, Subhash died due to overeating, but the family members of the deceased have refused to comment over the incident.

Man's motorcycle gets stolen as he stops to pee

In another bizarre incident from UP, two unidentified men in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida allegedly fled with the motorbike of a man who stopped along a roadside to urinate, police said. The incident took place when Aakash was on his way to the industrial area in Greater Noida for work and the scooter-borne duo took his motorcycle, they said.

"He was near Tilpat A chowk, under the Surajpur police station area, when he stopped to urinate on the road. He had left the key on the motorcycle when suddenly two men arrived on a red-coloured scooter and one of them got on the bike and they fled the spot before Aakash could respond," a police official told news agency Press Trust of India.

A complaint has been made by the man and a complaint under Indian Penal Code section 379 (robbery) has been registered at the Surajpur police station, he said.
