BJP delegation led by P Muralidhar Rao is set to visit South Korea

A BJP delegation is set to visit South Korea on October 14. The visit is an effort to improve India's relations with other Asian countries. The delegation will be led by party national secretary P Murlidhar Rao and will hold important discussions on several issues. He also said the visit will be a part of 'Look East Policy'

'South Korea has emerged as a strong economy'

The party secretary also said that the governments started communicating after 1991.

"In that series, South Korea has emerged as a strong economy with World-leading brands in the automobile and manufacturing sectors. In 1991 the Indian government began the 'Look East Policy' and the then government started communicating with them. Modiji had visited the country even before his elections, "he said.

'India and China are leading the continents'

Murlidhar Rao also said that Asia led the world 200 years ago and stated the 21st century will again belong to Asian countries.

This 21st century is again going to be of Asian countries. India and China are leading the continents," P Muralidhar Rao said.

According to sources, the delegation will meet the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, Hae Chan Lee. They are also expected to meet business leaders and other relevant officials of the Korean Government. The delegation will also visit the 'Dora Observatory' which provides views about the 'demilitarized zone' between North and South Korea. Other members of the team include Bizay Sonkar Shastri, spokesperson, Umesh Jadhav, MP, BJP's foreign cell in-charge Vijay Chauthaiwale, Anirban Ganguly of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation and Ashwani Johar co-convenor BJP's foreign affairs cell.

PM Modi visits South Korea

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also visited South Korea in February 2019 and held talks with Korean President Moon Jae-in. He also addressed the Indian Diaspora. The Prime Minister also recieved the prestigious Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 for his contribution to international cooperation and fostering global economic growth there.
