On Monday, September 16, BJP workers in Bhopal cut a 69 feet long cake to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 69th birthday. In another incident, the owner of a Surat-based bakery has announced that a 700-foot long cake, weighing roughly about 7,000 kgs will be cut to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday. The cake will be cut by 700 "honest” people from the city and it will be cut at the Sarsana Convention Centre in Surat.

A bakery will distribute food packets to 12,000 children

Apart from this, Atul Bakery will also distribute food packets to 12,000 children suffering from malnutrition in 370 schools in tribal areas. Atul Vekaria, the owner of the bakery, said, 'The food will be rich in fibre and vitamins. In this way, we will show our determination to fight malnutrition. Our PM's dream is of malnutrition-free India and we will help in realizing his dream.' While netizens are showering their love on Prime Minister Narendra Modi through social media, people from Ahmedabad gave a warm welcome to him on his arrival in the city on Monday night.

Atmosphere euphoric 

Outside the airport, the atmosphere was euphoric with people raising slogans and cheering for the Prime Minister. PM Modi also acknowledged his supporters and waved at them from the front seat of his vehicle. Delhi’s BJP unit also celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday at India gate on midnight today.

PM Narendra Modi has a packed schedule and will spend a better part of the day in Gujarat, where he will pay a visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river to kick off the Namami Narmade festival. Notably, the water level in the Dam has reached its highest mark for the first time there. Celebrations for PM Narendra Modi's birthday kickstarted in Gujarat ahead of his birthday with the lightning of Sardar Sarovar Dam in tricolour on Monday evening.
