Setback for BJP in MP

In what can be seen as a setback for the BJP, its MLA Prahlad Lodhi of the Pawai Assembly constituency had to give up his membership on Saturday after he was convicted by a special court, for two years in an old case. Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly member NP Prajapati had informed about the MLA's conviction for two years by a special court. An earlier ruling states that if a member of the legislative house is found convicted, he loses his membership at that very moment.
