Couple's "Whatsapp-Style" invite for their wedding is going viral. See pictures inside

Keeping up with the times, a couple in Gujarat has come up with a unique Whatsapp-style wedding invitation card.

Keeping up with the times, a couple in Gujarat has come up with a unique Whatsapp-style wedding invitation card. Arzoo and Chintan from Surat wanted to create something different for their wedding so they came up with a four-page invitation taking inspiration from the popular messaging app.

Chintan, who is a web designer, created the card but credits his fiance for the idea.

The wedding invite has a yellow cover with the words, "Unlock invitation". The display picture is couple's and the "status" of the wedding invite reads, "You are obligated to attend our wedding else you will be blocked on Whatsapp".

Arzoo said, "In place of the Whatsapp logo, we used Ganesh Ji's photo, which gives a traditional touch to our invitation."

Earlier on Thursday, the Lok Sabha election fever not only gripped the politicians but also couples who will be tying the knot in 2019. The wedding invitation, that may be a sham, went viral on social media as they sought gifts for the newlyweds in the form of votes to BJP. 

While one invite was for a wedding slated for Tuesday, 1 Januar y, in Surat, the other one mentions it will be held on Sunday, 10 February, in Mangalore.

The images posted by Facebook user Arun Prasad, the parents of the groom are seen inviting guests to attend the wedding of their son, while also seeking votes for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place this year.

The note at the bottom of both the card reads: “our gift is your vote for Modi in 2019 Lok Sabha elections”.
