Delhi BJP Organises 'Mahila Hunkaar Rally' To Mark The 6th Anniversary Of Nirbhaya rape Case

To mark the 6th anniversary of Nirbhaya Delhi rape case, Delhi BJP organized a massive rally called 'Mahila Hunkaar Rally' on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. The rally was organized to give a platform to women and echo the sentiment of women empowerment. The purpose was to also highlight the failure of Delhi Government in terms of women security in the city. As many as 20-30 thousand people, with 2/3rd of women, participated in the rally. Union Minister Smriti Irani and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari were also present at the rally.

"This rally will bring a difference. The Delhi Government has done nothing. All these women have gathered for BJP. We hope that the BJP will bring about change in terms of Women security", a woman attending the rally said. 

"Many women have gathered. The women in this country should get the message that it's time for them to move out their houses. We fell safe under Modi Government", another attendee said. 

While addressing the rally from Delhi, Union Minister Smriti Irani said:

"To one and all present here, I would like to say that the workers of Mahila Morcha have taken this pledge to spread the message of Women safety and Development of the country across 13,816 booths in Delhi. They should also pledge to develop Delhi under the leadership of Narendra Modi".

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Raebareli on Sunday, a constituency which considered as the turf of Gandhis. During his visit, the Prime Minister flagged off the Humsafar Express. He also addressed a public meeting in Raebareli where he took on the Congress and the UPA government. The Prime Minister attacked the Congress over its allegations on employment, saying the factory, which could employ thousands, had not been functioning for four years. He also spoke about the allegations levelled by the Congress on Rafale. 

 "The people of the party that raises questions on surgical strikes, trust enemy’s prices more than our Army, what can be expected of them? Congress' history in defence deals is that of uncle Quattrocchi. Helicopter scam accused Christian Michel was brought to the country a few days ago. Everyone saw how Congress sent their lawyer to save him", he said.
