Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently visited the holy city of Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and shared a video of the beautiful view of Ganga Ghat on his Twitter account. In his caption, the actor expressed happiness and praised PM Modi's efforts for transforming Varanasi into a clean city. He wrote:
(Honourable Prime Minister, I got an opportunity to visit Varanasi after a long period of time. My heart was filled with joy when I saw the cleanliness in the city. Your resolution for the development of this country is not only remarkable but also inspiring. The country is secure and will flourish under your leadership.)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the actor's tweet and expressed his gratitude towards the actor's warm words. He also added that it's his privilege to work for Varanasi.
(Many Thanks Anupam Kher Ji. As the representative of Kashi, it is my honour and privilege to work for its development.)
Earlier in November, ‘Nayak’ star Anil Kapoor had praised Varanasi after his visit to the holy city for Dev Diwali. He had expressed delight over the ‘transformation’ of the city and said that the roads leading to the ghats in Kashi particularly stood out, terming them ‘safer and beautiful.’ Sharing pictures of him smiling, the actor wrote to the Prime Minister for his ‘blessed experience’ in being a part of the ‘amazing puja event.’
PM replied that he was happy Kapoor enjoyed his visit and experienced the ‘city’s transformation.’
