One would find people cleaning their homes from top to bottom. They would remove all the clutter, buy new household items and remove the old ones. Diwali is the time, when one would find the hustle and bustle in the market, people buying new bedsheets, curtains, utensils, etc. However, Diwali cleaning is a tedious task, which is followed by long hours of back-breaking work. People start the Diwali Safai weeks before the festival, and with so much to be done the task seems never-ending. A lot of them are scared and don't enjoy the dreadful Diwali cleaning.
