"Even as we declare victory we should acknowledge...": Here's what Anand Mahindra had to say about Masood Azhar being listed as a global terrorist

In a massive diplomatic win for India, the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday designated Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist under the United Nations sanctions list. Responding to this development, business tycoon Anand Mahindra took to Twitter and said that it is a 'clear diplomatic victory for India'.

In the tweet, the Chairman of Mahindra Group wrote: "Sometimes even calling a spade is spade is difficult in a conflicted world".

Later he said that even as declare victory, we should acknowledge China - for acknowledging India's growing importance in world affairs.

In the aftermath of the massive newsbreak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the country's diplomatic victory over designating Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist under the Sanctions Committee of the UN Nations Security Council and said "This is what New India is". 

Reiterating BJP's stand on their fight against terrorism, Prime Minister Modi announced how India achieved what it had been trying for a while. 

"It is reported from the United Nations that the notorious terrorist, Masood Azhar, has been banned. Today it is satisfying to see the world is in accordance. This is a major breakthrough in the struggle against terrorism and the long-standing efforts India has been making to uproot terrorism," the Prime Minister said.
