"Felt like chopping off Ram Kripal Yadav's hands when he joined BJP", says Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti triggering controversy

RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti lashed out at Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav who snubbed the RJD party after he joined BJP party in 2014. Attacking the BJP leader, she said that she felt like chopping off the hands of the Union Minister when she heard the news of him joining the BJP.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti lashed out at Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav who snubbed the RJD party after he joined BJP party in 2014. Attacking the BJP leader, she said that she felt like chopping off the hands of the Union Minister when she heard the news of him joining the BJP.

"He (Ram Kripal Yadav) used to cut chaff. We had huge respect for him. However, we stopped respecting him when he went on to join hands with Sushil Kumar Modi. At that time I felt like cutting his hands from the same chaff cutting machine," Bharti said while addressing a gathering in Patna's Bikram area on January 16 while speaking to news agency ANI.

Ram Kripal Yadav, who was earlier a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal has resigned from his party post to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014. After quitting RJD, he won the won the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat in Patna by defeating Misa Bharti in 2014 General elections.

Speaking at the event, the RJD leader asserted confidence in her winning the upcoming 2019 polls, as compared to the 2014 polls when she could not give enough time to the p the preparations in the election campaigning for the general elections.

Earlier in January, RJD leader and brother Tej Pratap Yadav announced that his sister Misa Bharti will contest from Patliputra's Lok Sabha seat in the Lok Sabha 2019 poll.  However, he added that the final decision in this regard will be taken by party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

After quitting the RJD party, 61-year-old Ram Kripal Yadav had hailed PM Narendra Modi as the man India is looking up to bring change.  

"I have been a dedicated worker of the RJD for years but was forced to take this step, it was painful but I had no choice," he had said at the time.
