Former First Lady Hillary Clinton visits the Swadesh Bazar in Udaipur along with Isha Ambani and Nita Ambani

Former First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton is attending the pre-wedding festivities of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal. Recently, she was seen taking a stroll through the Swadesh Bazaar along with bride-to-be Isha Ambani and her mother Nita Ambani.

The pre-wedding festivities of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, son of Ajay and Swati Piramal have kick-started as the couple is all set to tie the knot on December 12. Several Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, among others were seen attending the event. 

Moreover, former First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton came all the way to India to grace the event. She was spotted arriving at Udaipur on Saturday, December 8, and the American resident is enjoying the big fat Indian wedding. She took a stroll through the Swadesh Bazaar along with bride-to-be Isha Ambani and her mother Nita Ambani. In the picture of the trio that surfaced on the internet, all three of them can be seen sporting traditional outfits. While Nita and Isha can be seen wearing pink salwar suit and lehenga respectively, Hillary also took up the traditional look and was seen sporting an embroidered blue kurta.

'Swadesh Bazaar' is a unique concept to encourage the craftsmanship of traditional Indian artisans, especially for a lot of indigenous crafts that need conservation and revival and have been supported by Reliance Foundation over the years. The Foundation aims to broaden and deepen its support to the goals of 'Swadesh Bazaar' on a bigger and more sustainable scale in the future.

From the rich Kanjeevaram, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, exhibits cover over 30 types of textiles and weaves. Depicting folktales and local legends, artists will showcase ancient painting forms like Gond, Madhubani, Phad, Warli, and Thangka. Weavers, potters, and sculptures from all around the country will make this a mega-celebration of art and culture.

This unique exhibit has not just provided livelihoods to thousands of such artisans, but also giving an opportunity to showcase their rare works from every nook and corner of India, for people’s interest, appreciation, and support.

Former Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is also attending the extravagant affair along with wife Anjali Tendulkar, was also spotted enjoying a walk through the Swadesh Bazar. The pair was seen posing with Nita Ambani in one of the latest pictures that surfaced on the internet.
