Gautam Gambhir's remedy for Tricolour-shamers: 'Forget jail...'

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir lashed out at those who disrespected the Tricolour flag of India in a strong manner, once again showing his patriotic side on social media

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gautam Gambhir lashed out at those who disrespected the Tricolour flag of India in a strong manner, once again showing his patriotic side on social media. The former Indian cricketer is known to have staunch views about respecting the country, the flag and its forces and has known to have raised his voice against any form of disrespect to any national symbols. The East Delhi MP borrowed a significant solution from a veteran US general who had a befitting reply to those who burnt or disrespected the American flag. A retired United States Marine Corps general, James 'Mad-dog' Mattis served in the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War, had at once instance suggested that anyone who disrespects the American flag should be asked to join the Army and not be jailed. Mattis reasoned that after their stint with the Army, they will be cured of the desire to burn the flag ever again.

Gautam Gambhir sends a strong message

Gautam Gambhir had some strong words for those who criticized, opposed and disrespected the national flag. Sharing his views on Twitter, Gautam Gambhir shared a graphic of James Mattis' photo and his famous words about the treatment of the American flag. Gambhir suggested that India should implement Mattis' view which would then make those who disrespect the flag to either wave it, salute it or lie under the Tricolour. Gautam Gambhir received enormous support from the netizens who even encouraged him to take the issue up in the Parliament and give more voice to the issue. Gautam Gambhir's display of patriotism

Even before his entry to politics, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is known to have openly displayed his patriotic feelings. There have been numerous incidents when people protesting against the country or its symbols have invited the wrath of the BJP leader. Earlier in 2017, Gautam Gambhir had some strong words for 'anti-nationals', as he took to use the Indian flag to explain the treatment that should be meted out to them. Sharing his views on Twitter, Gambhir said that the saffron in the Tricolour indicated the anger of the country, while white indicated that it was a trap for jihad and its followers. The colour green Gambhir said indicated the country's attitude towards terror. Here's Gambhir's tweet from 2017:

Gautam Gambhir lashes out at Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi had earlier taken to Twitter to announce that he was in sync with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's call for Pakistanis to stand in solidarity with the people of Kashmir and listed out a series of programs that he was going to take part in. Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir lashed out at Shahid Afridi, as he took to post a tweet that would have probably left Afridi stinging. Gautam Gambhir posted a picture of Shahid Afridi and his recent tweet and claimed at Shahid Afridi was asking himself as to how to embarrass himself next. Gambhir termed Shahid Afridi as a person who refused to grow up and offered to buy Afridi online child tutorials for his help.
