Howdy Modi: PM Modi tweets on his schedule with the UN in New York

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweets about the multilateral events in New York that he is said to attend stating a large part of the events are to be held at UN.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend a number of multilateral events in New York. PM Modi had earlier tweeted about his visit to New York notifying that most of them will be at the UN. The PM Modi on the September 23 has several multilateral events in NY which include the Climate Summit at the UN. He is an early speaker and he is touted to showcase what India has achieved in terms of climate change. He will also attend the event organised by UN Secretary-General António Guterres on healthcare where PM Modi will speak about Ayushman Bharat in the event. The third event is the Leaders' Dialogue on strategic responses to terrorist and violent extremist narratives hosted by King of Jordan, UN Secretary-General, President of France and PM of New Zealand.

When in New York 

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Howdy, Modi’ event in Houston, Texas, The Ministry of External Affairs in an address to the media had notified the people of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's schedule. The Prime Minister has a busy schedule planned. After the first day, on September 24, he is to attend lunch hosted by the Secretary-General. Following lunch, the PM is going to attend the event to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in the UN. The Prime Minister will be further joined by heads of Governments who will also speak of Mahatma Gandhi and the relevance of his teachings in the present situation.

Day three 

On September 25, the PM is going to speak at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum. This will be followed by an investment roundtable that has been organised by the Government of India. PM Modi is said to attend bilateral meetings as well. He intends to have 20 other leader level bilateral meetings which will include the meeting with US President Donald Trump.
