Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh partook in some interesting folk-sporting activities during his three-day official visit to Mongolia which ended on Sunday.

While he was in the central Asian country, Rajnath Singh attended the Mini Naadam festival organised in the rural areas of Ulaanbataar.

In pictures of the activities that he's posted, vast grasslands can be seen, and in their midst, there are some joyously colourful sights.

In one picture, men appear to be engaged in some form of wrestling. The costumes of the referees harken back to a different age.

In another picture, folk dancers have taken the place of the wrestlers in a riot of colour.

Rajnath Singh, clearly quite cold, makes an appearance tending to a horse, which Mongolia is historically well known for.

And in another picture, draped in a thick blanket, the Home Minister is watching an archer fire a few arrows.

Finally, he appears to have been convinced to give archery a try and takes a shot:

He also partook in some local delicacies while visiting the 'Ger' (home) of a nomadic tribe family:
