India Post is set to launch Special Campaign 3.0, showcasing its decade-long commitment to Swachhata (cleanliness) and marking a significant milestone in its pursuit of delivering happiness to every citizen. This campaign, under the Ministry of Communications, coincides with a decade of relentless efforts to uphold the values of Janbhagidari (public participation) and promote Swachhata, as stated in the Ministry's press release.
Special Campaign 2.0, which commenced on October 2 and ran through August 2023, highlighted the department's endeavours in pursuit of the values of Janbhagidaari and Swachhta. Notable achievements during the last campaign include the closure of 840 e-files, disposal of approximately 6 lakh files, cleaning of 24,000 sites, and the scrapping of materials worth around 2.9 crore rupees, as outlined in the press release. Furthermore, over 2,90,000 public grievances were resolved, and 1,13,289 square feet of space was reclaimed.
The campaign also introduced several best practices, including the adoption of eco-friendly seals in place of sealing wax, utilising wall art to convey 'Swachhata' messages, and the installation of solar power panels at DakBhawan, resulting in significant energy savings.
As Special Campaign 3.0 takes shape in October 2023, India Post aims to consolidate its decade-long Swachhata initiatives. The department plans to outline a roadmap for the future, emphasising initiatives that can be implemented in collaboration with stakeholders across the national postal network.
