Indian Foreign Secretary has announced to meet the P5 countries to the United Security Council in India on Saturday following Union Minister Arun Jaitley's call to take efforts in isolating Pakistan from the international community and strong global support from across the geography against the cowardly attack in Pulwama against CRPF jawans.

Indian Foreign Secretary will meet the envoys from United States, Russia, United Kingdom, France and China.

The global community has expressed solidarity to India, and Washington has gone ahead to denounce Pakistan for supporting and providing safe haven to terrorist organisations.

"The United States calls on Pakistan to end immediately the support and safe haven provided to all terrorist groups operating on its soil, whose only goal is to sow chaos, violence, and terror in the region," White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a late night statement on Thursday.

Russia President Vladimir Putin expressed to consolidate counter-terrorism cooperation with India.

He said, "Please accept my most sincere condolences in connection with the death of Indian law enforcement officers as a result of the terrorist act in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. We strongly condemn this brutal crime. Perpetrators and sponsors of this attack should be punished.  I would like to confirm the readiness for the further strengthening of counter-terrorism cooperation with our Indian partners. Russia shares the grief of the friendly people of India and hopes for the speedy recovery of the injured."

France too called on to every state to combat terrorist networks.

The statement read, "France has always been and will always be alongside India in the fight against terrorism in all its forms. I call on each state to effectively combat terrorist networks and their funding channels and to prevent the cross-border movement of terrorist groups, such as Jaish-e-Mohamed, who has claimed responsibility for this attack."

Although China on Friday condemned the Pulwama terror attack carried out by a Jaish suicide bomber but once again declined to back India's appeal to list the Pakistan-based terror group's chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the UN.

Spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Geng Shuang told media, "We firmly oppose and strongly condemn all forms of terrorism. We hope relevant regional countries will cooperate to cope with the threat of terrorism and jointly uphold regional peace and stability."

When asked about China's stand on the listing of Azhar as a global terrorist by the UN Security Council, he said: "As for the issue of listing, I could tell you that the 1267 Committee of Security Council has a clear stipulation on the listing and procedure of the terrorist organisations".
