IRCTC has come up with special tour packages to religious places across India. These trains will start from various origins according to the tour route.

According to a research report, ‘Indian Railways’ is the fourth largest and busiest rail networks in the world that caters to millions of people. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is the subsidiary of Indian Railways. It was established in 1999 to provide services in catering, tourism and online ticketing requirements to its users. This year, IRCTC has arranged several rail tour packages to religious destinations across India. Ramayana Express/ Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Trains/ Jagannath Dham Yatra/ Shirdi Speical Train

Bharat Darshan Yatra

Bharat Darshan will commence on 27th September 2019 from Reva. This tour package will cover religious places of western India that includes Ahmedabad, Dwarka, Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Porbandar, Somnath and Statue of Unity. It is 8 days/ 9 nights tour package with sleeper class and 3AC facilities. According to the official IRCTC reports, the package costs ₹ 8505 per person.

Shirdi Special

Shirdi Special train will start on 5th October 2019, Madurai being its origin. This tour package will cover Mantralayam, Pandharpur and Shirdi in Maharashtra. It is 5 nights/ 6 days package with budget class facility. According to IRCTC reports, the tour package costs ₹ 5670 per person.

Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train

The date of the journey for this special train is 10th October 2019 that will start from Rajkot Junction. It will cover places like Amritsar, Haridwar, Mathura and Vaishno Devi which are in the northern part of India. It is 8 nights/ 9 days package with two different package categories according to choice. The standard package cost ₹ 8505 whereas the comfort package cost ₹ 10395, according to reports.

Ramayana Yatra

Ramayana Yatra, as the name suggests, will take you to the places associated with Lord Rama and his wife, Sita. The train will commence on 16th November 2019 from Madurai. It will cover Allahabad, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot Dham, Hampi, Janakpur (Nepal), Nandigram, Nasik, Shringaverpur and Sita Marhi. It is 12 nights/ 13 days tour package with budget-based facilities. The cost for this package is ₹ 14720 per person, as per IRCTC reports.

Dakshin Bharat Yatra

As the name suggests, Dakshin meaning ‘south’, the train will cover religious places in South India. The journey will start on 18th November 2019 from Raxaul. It will cover Kanyakumari, Madurai, Puri, Rameshwaram, Tirupati and Trivandrum. The package is packed with 13 nights/ 14 days, which include sleeper class and 3AC facilities. The cost of the package is ₹ 12999 per person, as per IRCTC reports.

Jagannath Dham Yatra

Jagannath Dham Yatra will begin on 7th December 2019 from Dibrugarh. It will cover eastern parts of India from Dham Bhubaneshwar and Puri. The tour is 8 nights/ 9 days package with sleeper class. The cost of the tour is ₹ 8505 per person, as per the official website of IRCTC.
