In a large conspiracy, NIA sources also revealed to Republic TV that the detainees arrested from Delhi named- Azam, Anis, Zahid and Zuber were in touch with people from across the border and were communicating through messenger app Telegram. Hafiz Sohail, a self-radicalised teacher in Madarsa in Zafrabad is known to be the mastermind. Special cell and NIA have been working on them for the past six months. One suspect, Anism had stolen cash and gold worth Rs 5 lakh from home and bought weapons. However, his family never lodged a case.
The suspects did a recce of RSS headquarters of Delhi and Delhi police headquarters.
A confirmation from the NIA spokesperson has affirmed that the raids are in connection with the ISIS module called 'Harkat-ul-harb-e-Islam'.
