A day after Congress Raebareli MLA backed the government on its decision to revoke Article 370, she has clarified that it is her personal opinion without backtracking from her stand. Congress MLA Aditi Singh said that this move will integrate the state of Jammu and Kashmir with India, and that it is above party lines.

"I have cleared my personal opinion that i support this provision. This will integrate J&K in India. This provision is above party line. On the ground issues should be solved and people should not suffer any problem. Thus there should be no politics. This is my personal opinion. As an MLA I welcome this decision," she said.

Singh had taken to Facebook to express that she is in favour of the decision taken by Centre to scrap Article 370 that was passed by Rajya Sabha on Monday. This will end the special status of the state and it will be guided by the Constitution of India and not the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Raebareli MLA Singh had also hit back at a user after he commented, "You are Congressi," on her post. She retaliated against the user by saying that she is an Indian. "Main ek Hindustani hoon (I am an Indian)."
