Jammu & Kashmir: Security forces arrest 2 terror associates in North Kashmir's Baramulla

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist associates have been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Sunday (September 3). The Indian Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles including the state police arrested the accused in a joint operation. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the two associates which include one pistol with magazine, one hand grenade and some rounds. 

Two accused reveal their plans 

The accused have been identified as Tawseef Ramzan Bhat and Moein Amin Bhat. During the interrogation, Moien Amin revealed that he was in touch with the most wanted Pakistani terrorist Usman and he had met him when a terrorist Usman was injured in anti-terror Operation at Taripora Wansran in Baramulla district and Usman escaped from that operation.

Moein had also provided logistic support to Usman and another terrorist Hilal Ahmad Sheikh many times.  

Another terror associate Tawseef Ramzan during the interrogation revealed that he was getting instructions from Pakistan to do recce of some army camps in Kashmir, and kept a watch on the Army's convoy.

The two accused have shared all the information related to army areas with Pakistan-based handler Sajid Ali. They were about to get active as terrorists after carrying out an attack on forces and target killings.
