On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday, Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat addressed the gathering of martyr's families at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras.

Earlier on Thursday, General Bipin Rawat issued a stern warning to Pakistan, cautioning the neighbouring country to not attempt such a misadventure anywhere in the future. Addressing the media on Thursday ahead of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, General Bipin Rawat assured that Pakistan will not attempt such a misadventure again, adding that the Indian Armed Forces are much more powerful today than they were in 1999. He further said that the forces will not allow the Pakistani Army to succeed in any of its attempts ever in the future.
