Kashmir: Intel note exposes locations where Pakistan-backed JeM & LeT conducted reconnaissance, planned to attack Yatris and Forces

Now details of the Pakistan backed terror groups potential targets in Jammu and Kashmir has come to the notice of the Indian intelligence.

Earlier on Friday, Indian Forces in a press briefing said that Pakistan Military and Islamabad have been backing terrorist outfits to cause disruption in the Kashmir valley. In the briefing held by Chinar Corps Commander Lt General KJS Dhillon and J&K DGP Dilbag Singh in Srinagar, they categorically said that Pakistan is 'desperate to disrupt' the peace in Kashmir.

Now details of the Pakistan backed terror groups potential targets in Jammu and Kashmir has come to the notice of the Indian intelligence. In a s super explosive note by the Intelligence, accessed by Republic, it comes to the fore that the terror groups had planned to carry out attacks including suicide attacks in multiple location in J&K. Most of the plans had targetted the Indian security forces.

This comes amid deployment of 10,000 paramilitary troops in Kashmir, and an additional of 28,000 paramilitary personnel to the valley by the Centre on Friday morning.

As per the note, trained cadre of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in collaboration with the Pakistan Army in the forward post along LoC and Pakistan's BAT (Border Action Team) had planned armed action against the Indian Army. The Masood Azhar-led group had also plotted to carry out an IED attack on security forces in Kashmir's Sopore area.  Sources have said that JeM terrorists had recced the Yatri camp in Pahalgam, Baltal and the Gulmarg Gondola. It has also been identified that trained terrorists from Peshawar wanted to inflitrate to carry out armed action against the Indian forces.

Senior commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were ordered to collaborate and work closely other Pak-backed terror groups for planting IEDs in South Kashmir and Srinagar in near future.

Indian Forces assures action against terror forces  in J&K

On Friday noon,  Lt General KJS Dhillon asserted that all the deliberate attempts by Pakistan would be foiled and that the leadership of terror organisations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen is the prime target of the Defence Forces. He said, "Situation on the LoC is under control and stabilised. The infiltration from the Pakistani side is being attempted regularly, and we have been having regular contact from LoC whereby the infiltration bids by the Pakistan Army and the terrorists is being foiled and replied on regular basis."
