Kashmir: Intel note on Pakistan Army-backed JeM & LeT's reconnaissance activities and targets accessed

Amid security threats in the valley, heightened activities of Pakistan based terror organisation including designated Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba have come to light.

Amid security threats in the valley, heightened activities of Pakistan based terror organisation including designated Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba have come to light. 

According to crucial inputs received by Republic TV, it is known that the terror groups headed by Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed are in the process of aggressively planning series of infiltrations of armed cadre to undertake major terrorist attacks including fidayeen attack in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Furthermore, information has also been received of the location of JeM trained cadre in Muzaffarabad for collaboration with Pakistan Army elements in the forward post along with LoC for BAT and armed action against the Indian Armed Forces.

UN-designated terrorist Masood Azhar's JeM had also planned to undertake IED attacks on security forces in Kashmir's Sopore area. It is known that trained cadres have also been identified in Peshawar for infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir for armed action against security forces. 

According to reports, other Pakistan based terror organisations like the Hizbul Mujahideen have been directed by senior commanders functioning in Pakistan occupied Kashmir to collaborate with other terror groups with the motive to plant IED in South Kashmir and Srinagar. 

Republic sources have affirmed that some targets within the valley have already been recceed by JeM:

-Yatri camp Pahalgam and Baltal
-Gulmarg Gondola

Earlier in the day, based on crucial intelligent inputs, the Indian Army divulged of probably terror threat backed by Pakistan Army and establishment. 

In a joint press brief held by Chinar Corps Commander Lt General KJS Dhillon and J&K DGP Dilbag Singh in Srinagar, it was categorically stated that Pakistan is 'desperate to disrupt' the peace in Kashmir. 

"In the last 3 to 4 days, the very specific and confirmed intelligence reports that terrorist backed by Pakistan Army and Pakistan are trying to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra and based on that thorough search on both the routes, by a combined team of Army, CRPF and JKP carried out an extensive search on the route. For the last 3 days, these searches are going on. We have had major successes in the searches. Some IDs have been recovered, caches of ammunition, explosives, and weapons have been recovered. Pakistan Army's mine has been recovered from these searches," he added.

 Following the intelligence report, the Jammu and Kashmir government issued a security advisory and curtailed the Amarnath Yatra, asking Yatris to return at the earliest.
