Balakrishnan said, "The way Khalistani terrorists took over the Golden Temple, RSS is trying to do the same in Sabrimala. Their strategy is very similar to the Khalistani terrorists. They are trying to make Sabarimala a battlefield. This is their strategy. RSS wants to take over Sabrimala. If you give them the right to do this then RSS will surely take over Sabarimala. This is their tactic and Sabarimala strategy. This is RSS's agenda."

Retaliating to this statement, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, "The organisation like RSS, that works towards nation integrity and unity, is being compared to Khalistan. If this comparison and accusation is not an act of mental instability, then I don't know what it is."

This terror charge against RSS is progressing into a RSS-Left tiff. Adding meat to the controversy, Communist leader Ramachandran Pillai said, "They are acting like Khalistan and Taliban terrorists that is why they are creating problems in Sabarimala. Why should they create problems in Sabarimala? If it is to protect the interest of the devotees, they should have allowed everything peacefully there, which they are not doing."

Talking of the Sabarimala issue, BJP President Amit Shah expressed his disappointment towards the Kerala Government for handling the Sabarimala issue poorly. Asserting that his party stands firmly with every Ayyappa devotee who holds the Sabarimala tradition close to his heart, the BJP President said his party will not let the LDF "crush people's faith with impunity".

In a series of tweets, Shah said, "If several reports of flushing resting places for devotees and them having to spend nights next to pig droppings and dustbin are true, then Pinarayi Vijayan must realize that he can't treat Ayyappa devotees like inmates of Gulag. We won't let LDF crush people's faith with impunity," the BJP chief said.
