LJP Parliamentarian Ram Chandra Paswan Passes Away, PM Modi Expresses His Condolences

In a shocking incident, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) member and parliamentarian Ram Chandra Paswan passed away on Sunday at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital where he was kept in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Expressing his condolences, PM Modi said that Ram Chandra Paswan was a dedicated leader who worked for the poor and contributed to the upliftment of the downtrodden. He further mentioned about Paswan's strong inclination towards the farmers and youngsters.

Ram Chandra Paswan was the brother of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. Ram Chandra's nephew Chirag Paswan announced his uncle's death through Twitter and shared details about his last rites:

"I regret to inform you that my uncle, Shri Ramachandra Paswanji, is no more. He breathed his last at 1:24 PM today, at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi." he said.

"My uncle Ram Chandra Paswan's body will be kept at his residence at 18, Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi. the body will be moved to Lok Janshakti Party's office in Patna from 11 AM to 3 PM followed by cremation at 4 PM."  added

Paswan was an LJP parliamentarian from Samastipur constituency in Bihar. A three-time parliamentarian, Paswan had earlier suffered from a cardiac arrest on July 10, following which he was admitted to RML Hospital. Doctors had stated that his health had remained critical.
