NRC will be implemented in West Bengal: BJP MLA

"Mamata Banerjee's bad days are about to come. If she wants to do politics with the support of Bangladeshi people, she should go to Bangladesh. It will be good if she becomes Prime Minister of Bangladesh if she has the courage for it," Mr Singh told the media reporters. The BJP MLA added that NRC will be implemented in West Bengal and those who do not qualify as India citizens will be sent to their homes respectfully. He also questioned the Bengal chief minister's loyalty to the nation. "Mamata Banerjee is an Indian so she can stay here but if she gets influenced by anti-national sentiments then she can be taught a lesson, like P Chidambaram and others are going."

The West Bengal CM has repeatedly stated that the government in the state will not allow the Centre to prepare the NRC in Bengal. Warning the BJP not to 'play with fire', Banerjee said that she will never allow NRC in her State and does not accept NRC in Assam. Also, Mamata Banerjee alleged that BJP has managed to silence the people of Assam by using police administration but they cannot silence Bengal. Hitting out at BJP, she stated that out of the 19 lakh people whose names have not featured in the list, 11 lakh are Hindus and 1 lakh are Gorkhas.
