Man killed over family feud, father-in-law, three others held

Mumbai Police have arrested the father-in-law and three other relatives of a 40-year-old man for allegedly killing him over a family dispute, an official said on Sunday.

The accused had a quarrel with the victim on Saturday in Sewree area here following which all of them went to the local police station to put forth their grievances.

The police pacified them and sent them back.

Later, when the victim reached near the building where the accused lived in Sewree, they again had a fight, the police official said.

The accused then allegedly hit the victim with a paver block, he said, adding that the latter died on the spot.

The victim's father-in-law and three brothers-in-law were subsequently arrested and booked under Indian Penal Code Section 302 (murder).
