Manali, Keylong shiver at sub-zero temperatures as cold wave persists in HP

Cold wave persisted in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday with a number of places in the state shivering at sub-zero temperatures, the meteorological department said. Tribal district Lahaul and Spiti's administrative centre Keylong remained the coldest place in the state at minus 10.8 degrees Celsius, , Shimla MeT Centre Director Manmohan Singh said.

Kalpa recorded a low of minus 4 degrees Celsius, followed by Manali at minus 2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Kufri, Dalhousie and Shimla was 2.1, 3.9 and 4.1 degrees Celsius respectively, he added. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Una at 24 degrees Celsius, he added.
