Farmers raise voices against no government in Maharashtra

The protesting farmers were seen carrying the severely affected crops of onion and grapes. They also raised their voices against absence of government in Maharashtra. A protesting farmer said, "The onion and the grape crops have suffered heavy loss overnight, so we are taking out protest towards the Raj Bhavan, under the leadership of  Bacchu Kaddu". Adding further the farmers also stated that they have received no relief from the government, even after surveys of the damaged crops were carried out.

Crops growing in the regions like Konkan, Vidarbha, and central parts of Maharashtra were majorly affected by the unseasonal heavy rainfall. The farmers also asked for the governor to compensate each farmer with a minimum of Rs 50,000 for the losses they have incurred. According to the reports 4 lakh hectares of crops have already been damaged in the state.
