Amul is yet again making waves on social media with its promotional posters based on current affairs and trends. With Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman breaking many new grounds during her maiden budget speech on July 5, the dairy brand made its poster centred on her speech.
Tipping its hat to her 'Naari Tu Narayani' remark during the speech and hailing it as revolutionary, the poster has the headline 'Revolutionaari' and shows Minister Sitharaman with her Bahi-Katha along with a woman and the Amul girl, who both look at her with admiration. The tagline is 'Amul - Fits all budgets!' making a pitch at consumers that it is affordable to every section of society, perhaps just as the budget made an impression on every economic class.

Ahead of her budget speech, Sitharaman had broken traditions from the British era of carrying a 'budget briefcase' and also the custom of 'cutting the ribbon' at the Halwa ceremony. She instead used the Indian Bahi-Katha (ledger) to carry the budget documents and unfolded the ribbon at the ceremony.
In her budget, she made a special emphasis on encouraging women to generate income through self-employment saying 'Naari Tu Narayani'. In a massive move, Nirmala Sitharaman proposed to encourage women's entrepreneurship by expanding schemes such as MUDRA, Standup-India, Self Helf Groups among others. Broadly speaking, she presented a budget that entailed PM Narendra Modi's vision of inclusive growth.
