No difference between Congress and BJP, attacks Mayawati after Kamal Nath government's crackdown on 3 men in an alleged cow slaughter case

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party after Kamal Nath-led Madhya Pradesh government imposed NSA (National Security Act) against three men accused of killing a cow in the state.

Taking to Twitter, BSP supremo Mayawati slammed the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, and compared it to the BJP government. In her tweet, she hits out Kamal Nath government, saying "Congress govt in MP like 'BJP' slapped NSA against Muslims for cow slaughter".

The BSP supremo goes on to seek people to decide the 'difference between Congress & BJP government'.

She also lashed out at the Yogi Adityanath-led Yogi government for booking 14 AMU (Aligarh Muslim University) students under sedition charges.

As per agency reports, this is the first incident in which police have charged those accused of cow slaughter with NSA. The NSA was slapped by police against the accused with the consent of the district administration.

"After a detailed investigation, three persons named Raju, Shakil and Azam have been arrested. Of the three, one has a record of involvement in cow slaughter," SP Siddharth Bahuguna had said.

Under the NSA (National Security Act), an individual can be detained without a charge for up to 12 months; the state government needs to be intimated that a person has been detained under the NSA.

In another brutal attack earlier in February, Mayawati said that the Congress government oppression still prevails in Madhya Pradesh as state Chief Minister Kamal Nath has failed to maintain law and order situation here.

This has come as a conflict of interest between Congress and BSP, even as BSP came in support for the Rahul Gandhi led party after the state elections that were held last year in which Congress won 114 seats in Madhya Pradesh but fell short of two seats to reach the majority mark in the 230-member assembly.
