Nuh violence accused Osama arrested in encounter

Osama, resident of Nuh's Ferozepur Namak, was arrested after an encounter near Ujina Canal drain.

In an effective effort to apprehend the suspects responsible for the communal disturbances during Haryana's Nuh violence, the Cybercrime team of Nuh police arrested the accused Osama alias Pehalwan, during a police encounter on Thursday, August 24. He is a resident of Ferozepur Namak, Nuh. He was arrested after an encounter near the Ujina Canal drain. After the encounter the injured accused was admitted to Nalhad medical hospital for treatment. 

Six persons were killed in the hostilities that broke out in Nuh on July 31 when a procession was attacked by a crowd. The clashes spread to other districts, including Gurugram, and included two house guards and a cleric among those killed.

One person has been arrested and 12 people have had FIRs filed against them for using social media to instigate chaos in Nuh. Narendra Bijarniya, the Nuh Superintendent of Police, had earlier pleaded with the populace not to believe rumours.
