Indians knew that the Armed Forces won’t take the dastardly attack that left 40 soldiers of the CRPF martyred lying down. And the much anticipated day arrived 12 days later when the country woke up to the news of the Indian Air Force attacking the terror hubs of the Jaish-e-Mohammed that had claimed responsibility of the attack. Netizens went berserk, expressing delight and saluting the Armed Forces, under various hashtags related to the attack which featured thousands of tweets under it. While reactions from several Bollywood stars made headlines throughout the day, even those representing the South industries reacted in a similar manner.
Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Samantha Akkineni, Akhil Akkineni, Jr NTR, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan, Jayam Ravi, Suresh Gopi, Rakul Preet Singh, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Soundarya Rajinikanth, Nikki Galrani were among those who took to their social media handles.
The celebrities saluted the Indian Air Force for their ‘bravery’, calling them their ‘pride’, how India 'didn’t start the war, but ended it' and spoke about their conviction that they wouldn’t sit back. They proudly used slogans like ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘How’s the Josh’ and even tweeted the dictionary meaning of the word mirage, referring to Mirage 2000 that were used by the IAF in the attacks.
Early on Tuesday, the armed forces, in the best possible manner, not only avenged the Pulwama martyrs, but also sent a stern message to the neighbouring country that terrorism of any kind will not be tolerated.
Using a dozen Mirage 2000 jets, three hubs of JeM - Balakot, Chakhoti, Muzaffarabad - were blown away by laser-guided bombs, in which 245 soldiers and terrorists were neutralized, sources said.
