In the latest series of fake news by Pakistan, the human rights minister of Imran Khan has tweeted a 2018 video from Himachal Pradesh claiming it to be a video from Jammu and Kashmir. The video shows men cutting apple trees. While the video was from 2018 when the Himachal Pradesh High Court ordered Special Investigation Team (SIT) to fell apple plants because they were planted on forest lands, Pakistan claimed that it was from an attempt of Indian authority to harm Kashmiri Muslims. Shireen Mazari, the human rights minister of Imran Khan has been called out for peddling fake news more than once. However, she went on to make farcical and bizarre claims over Indian Courts' action on illegal encroachments in its own territory.  Here is the fake video that she tweeted:

Shireen Mazari slammed by UN

Earlier making a failed attempt, Shireen Mazari wrote to UNICEF (United Nation's Children Fund) to remove Priyanka Chopra as its goodwill ambassador. In her letter, the Pakistani Human rights minister wrote: "Ms Chopra has publicly endorsed Indian government position on Kashmir and also supported the nuclear threat issued to Pakistan by the Indian Defence Minister. All this goes completely against the principles of peace and goodwill that Ms Chopra is supposed to uphold as a UN Goodwill Ambassador for Peace," Mazari wrote in the letter.

Responding to her letter, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric told: "Well, I mean, I can tell you that, for any Goodwill Ambassador, whether it’s Ms. Chopra or anyone else, we expect them to adhere to impartial positions when they speak on behalf of UNICEF or any other organization. When they speak in their personal capacity, they retain the right to speak about issues of interests or concern to them. Their personal views, however, do not reflect those of the agency with which they may be affiliated with."

Imran Khan against abrogation of Article 370

Indian government on August 5 abrogated Article 370 which gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It also bifurcated the state into two union territories. Following the massive move by India, Pakistan downgraded the trade ties and sent back the Indian High Commissioner. Since then Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been trying to peddle fake news regarding the situation in Kashmir. He has also been trying to internationalise the issue, however, India has clarified that it is India's internal matter and any talks with Pakistan will only take place when it takes action against terror harbouring in its soil.
