Pakistan's "naked propaganda" was called out by India, after Islamabad took a group of foreign diplomats to Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) following India's strike on several terror camps along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. In a statement, External Affairs Ministry (MEA) cautioned foreign government against activities of "Kashmir cells" set up by Pakistan in its missions across the world, claiming that the prime objective of the new entities is radicalisation of people through false propaganda.

The MEA spokesperson said that it has been in the public knowledge that terror launch pads in close proximity to the LoC in Kashmir are being used to propel terrorists into India to cause unrest. Moreover, taking Pakistan to task over their "drama" in PoK, MEA accused the neighbour of attempting to paint a "different picture" of the conflict.

"We consider it to be a drama. Pakistan has been doing this kind of naked propaganda. When Pakistan take people there (PoK), they try to project a completely different picture," MEA said. MEA said if Pakistan was serious about containing terror, then the diplomats should have been taken to places where it had taken "credible, verifiable and irreversible action to dismantle terrorist infrastructure from its soil".

"The objective is to radicalise them through false propaganda. We hope the countries where these Kashmir Cells have been opened realise that it is very dangerous," MEA said. "The cells which are openly inciting violence should be closed and all countries should take appropriate action against such cells operating from their soil," he said.

PoK diplomat visit

On Tuesday, Pakistan flew the group of foreign diplomats to PoK to spur a narrative that the Indian Army was resorting to unprovoked firing in the civilian areas. The diplomats were taken to the area two days after Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that six to ten Pakistan Army personnel were killed and three terror camps were destroyed in retaliatory action by the Indian Army opposite the Tangdhar and Keran sectors in Jammu and Kashmir. However, expectedly, Pakistan denying the claims said that no terror camps were destroyed.

Indian Army in an anti-terror operation struck several terror camps in PoK on Monday, according to top sources. As per inputs, the strike wiped out several terrorists, leaving the neighbour in a disarray.  The strike was reportedly carried out after 7 Pakistani SSG commandos were trying to infiltrate in the Tangdhar sector to carry out a Border Action Team (BAT) strike but were neutralised, with their bodies lying unclaimed approximately 300 m inside the Pakistan side of the LoC.

Days ago, Pakistan unprovoked ceasefire violation across the LoC in Kashmir's Poonch sector targetted civilians, including children who were left stranded within the school premises.
