On October 23, Republic TV  reported on a Raj Kundra linked company's alleged business links which raised serious questions. As per information with Republic TV, Kundra had links with a company that had business dealings with a company that had links to individuals like Ranjeet Bindra who is presently in agency custody in relation to the Iqbal Mirchi case. After Republic TV put out the report, Kundra took to Twitter to present his version of the case. Here was his initial response:

During the prime time debate with Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, Kundra had even admitted to business relations with Bindra. On live television, Kundra said, “He (Bindra) was the owner of the company. We have bought into a restaurant that he created so we bought into that chain."

While it is unclear as to what the line of questioning of the ED to Kundra will be about, the fact of the matter is that there seem to be several unanswered questions in the public domain. The Iqbal Mirchi case has been moving thick and fast vis-a-vis the investigating agencies. While a Bollywood linked public personality angle is now seemingly coming to the fore in the investigation, previously the ED had also questioned NCP leader Praful Patel for certain alleged transactions. Iqbal Mirchi was known to be an aide and associate of underworld don and terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Mirchi was also an accused in the 1993 Bombay Blasts case.
