Rapper Hard Kaur abuses India, says will release 'Referendum 2020' song for pro-Khalistan movement by banned Sikhs-for-Justice group

Days after being charged for sedition, UK-based Punjabi rapper and singer Taran Kaur Dhillon, also known as Hard Kaur, who allegedly extended support to the 'Referendum 2020' campaign run by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organisation, has released a video of her abusing the India, Indian government including the Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She has in multiple social media posts has been seen appealing the people to vote for Khalistan as a part of the Referendum 2020 movement by the SFJ.

In a video that she has not posted on her official handle but that has been doing rounds on internet, she is seen with three other pro-Khalistan people an can be seen saying: “You’ll not be able to silence Taran Kaur, she’ll raise her voice again. Amit Shah, it is very easy to stand and speak in the Parliament, since the government, police and law, everything is under you. Amit Shah and Narendra Modi, this is for you. On 15 August, we’ll hoist our Khalistani flag in 15 nations. Stop us if you can.”

She then challenged the Indian government and went on to abuse it saying that any ministers from the Indian government should come and fight her alone. She went to the extent of abusing the government and the country, advocating that Khalistan referendum will happen. In another video on her personal Instagram, she said that she will be releasing Khalistan referendum song called we are warriors. 

Earlier, in two video posts, Hard Kaur was seen wearing a t-shirt with "Punjab Referendum 2020 Khalistan" written on it. In other posts, she used abusive language against Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal. In her posts, she heaped praises for slain militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

This development has come days after the Centre banned the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organisation and declared it as an unlawful. The MHA had said that the SFJ was run by few radical Sikhs of foreign nationality in US, Canada, UK etc, as an unlawful association under the provision 3(1) of UAPA, Act 1967. There have been 12 cases filed against the organisation and 39 people connected to the group have been arrested. The group are known for promoting an online campaign called "Referendum 2020" demanding separate land for the Sikhs.
