'Uddhavji will do it'

When questioned about rumours of Shiv Sena forming a government with the support of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress, the Shiv Sena leader said, "The decision of Maharashtra will be taken here only, Uddhavji will do it. Have Sharad Pawar or Sonia Gandhi come out with a statement? In politics, rumours fly everywhere, there are people who peddle rumours. That is all I have to say on this matter." The NCP won 54 and Congress won 44 Assembly seats.

Raut had previously claimed that Shiv Sena would soon have its party candidate as the Chief Minister with the support of 170 MLAs. He had even contacted NCP leader Sharad Pawar in this regard. Reportedly, Pawar has said, NCP would like to stay in the opposition. Pawar has also said that he is unaware of how Shiv Sena arrived on the number of 170 MLAs supporting their party.
