SHOCKING: 25-year-old girl shot dead by terrorists in J&K's Shopian district

A 25-year-old woman was shot dead at point-blank range by terrorists on Friday in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The victim has been identified as Ishrat Muneer, a resident of Dangerpora in Pulwama district, a police spokesman said.

A 25-year-old woman was shot dead at point-blank range by terrorists on Friday in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The victim has been identified as Ishrat Muneer, a resident of Dangerpora in Pulwama district, a police spokesman said. The police recovered the girl's body from Cherwaad which is between two villages, Heff Khuri and Sugan in Shopian district, as per reports.

  "In a gruesome act of terror, terrorists shot dead a 25-year-old girl from a point-blank range. The dead body was retrieved by police from Dragad area of Zainapora in Shopian district," police spokesmane added.

Furthermore, police have also told that the terrorists shot the gruesome act in camera and circulated the video on social media.

"Terrorists while perpetrating this gruesome act, made a video of the incident and circulated it on social media," the spokesman added.

In the short video clip, the woman can be seen pleading to the terrorists for mercy with joined hands, however, the gunman shot her twice, police said.

It's a terror crime. Police are looking into it, we have crucial leads we will ensure those responsible will be brought before the law," said SP Pani, IG, Kashmir speaking in the matter

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and investigation is underway. J&K police is saying that they are ascertaining the facts in the gruesome incident. 

"Pertinently, a police investigation is focused on some credible leads and it is expected that soon the culprits shall be brought before the law," the spokesman said to reporters.

Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district early on Friday morning. They were identified as Shahid Ahmad Baba and Aniyat Ahmad Ziger from the Jaish-e-Mohammed, news agency reported. A gunfight broke out between the suspected militants and security forces after a five-hour siege at Drabgam village in south Kashmir, reports said.
