In a shocking video that has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Shahjadpur, a man carried in a rifle to a political gathering unchecked and unimpeded on Friday.

In a major security lapse, a man casually strolled past the security detail at a political rally which was attended by no less than Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. According to the reports, the man entered the premises with a single barrel gun. What was even more shocking is that no one attempted to stop him from passing by.

The video was recorded by the media personnel present at the location. However, further reports stated that the cops tried chasing down the man who was accompanied by another person. But the duo made a run out of the venue and escaped.

However, this is not the first case in Uttar Pradesh wherein civilians are carrying guns. Earlier in July, a video had emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat showing a group of young boys firing celebratory shots directly at the cake while celebrating a birthday. The men were seen running on the road in broad-daylight, abusing each other and brandishing guns. Here's the video:

As part of birthday celebrations, one of the around 10-15 young boys can be seen firing shots at the cake, instead of cutting it with an actual knife. In the video, gunshots can be heard quite loud and clear. The date and timing of the video are yet to ascertain. The incident took place in broad daylight in the Sarurpur Khedki area in Baghpat's Uttar Pradesh.
