Statue of Unity 'majestic', says PM Modi sharing video on his birthday

Prime Minister Modi is Gujarat to celebrate his 69th birthday. While on his way, PM Modi shared a video of the aerial view of Sardar Patel's Statue of Unity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 69 on Tuesday. On the occasion, he is in his home state, Gujarat, to celebrate his birthday by surveying tourism projects in Kevadia at the Sardar Sarovar Dam and also to perform a Narmada pooja. While on his way, PM Modi shared a video of the aerial view of Sardar Patel's Statue of Unity. The video was shot from PM Modi's helicopter while it was over the Kevadia Town.

PM Modi shares video of Statue of Unity

PM Modi shared the video of the Statue of Unity from his helicopter. The visuals show the aerial view of the world's tallest statue from all sides. The edifice to the Iron Man of India can be seen with a backdrop of the hills around the Narmada River. In his tweet, PM Modi described the statue as 'majestic' and asserted how it was a tribute to one of the great founding-fathers of India.

PM Modi's birthday schedule

PM Modi will spend most of his birthday in Gujarat where the Sardar Sarovar Dam has reached a historic capacity. The dam was inaugurated by PM Modi on this day in 2017, and on Tuesday, he will also kick-start the "Namami Narmade" festival. Following his visit to the dam at Kevadiya, the Prime Minister would address a gathering. After his address, the PM would inspect some ongoing developmental projects near the dam and the Statue of Unity. These projects include river rafting, a jungle safari park, a butterfly park and Ekta Nursery, an official said.

PM Modi is also expected to visit the temple of Lord Dattatreya at Garudeshwar village. On his 68th birthday, the Prime Minister was in his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi with school children. He had visited a primary school and celebrated his birthday with students. He later offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple there.
